Field Trips (Weekdays only)
Availability & Pricing
-Days: Thursdays and Fridays. Groups of 100 or more prepaid guests may be eligible for a private field trip on a Tuesday or a Wednesday.
-Cost: $10.00 per person ($10.62 including tax) for all students and staff. A minimum of 15 guests is required to book. Anyone 32" or taller will require a ticket.
-Chaperones: Each classroom may bring up to 2 prepaid parent chaperones (names must be provided).
-Deposit: A $50.00 non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking (excluding public schools).
-Deadlines: A final headcount and payment are due 7 days prior to the field trip date. After this due date, the cost increases to $20 per person.
Package Includes
-Zoo admission for a 2-hour time slot (3 hours for groups over 100).
-A tram ride with a food bucket.
-Access to Addie Lou's Barnyard (petting zoo).
-Use of picnic area for sack lunches.
Weather Policy
If the zoo is closed due to weather on the date of your visit, your group will receive an alternate date or $10 rain vouchers valid for up to one year.
Weekend Visits
Large groups are welcome on Saturdays and Sundays without a reservation. Tickets must be purchased at full price upon arrival.
How to request a reservation
To book your field trip please email the following information to zoobayouwildlife@gmail.com
- Name of the school or organization
- Approximate total number of students
- Number of classrooms
- Number of staff attending
- Will you be inviting additional parents? (An approximate number will be needed 7 days prior to the visit. Tickets for the additional parents must be purchased at full price and will include a free bucket of food)
- Preferred date(s) and arrival time slot. Please select from; (10:00-12:00), (10:30-12:30), (11:00-1:00), (11:30-1:30), or (12:00-2:00)
- A reliable contact phone number (in case of inclement weather)
A contract and invoice will be emailed to you. Please sign the contract and pay the deposit to finalize your reservation.
Field trips will not be scheduled during Christmas Break or Spring Break (March 8th-19th)
